Different races have different abilities and restrictions. For example
giants are strong, but stupid. Different races do better in certain classes
than others, while some races do reasonably well at everything, but are not
the best at anything.

Each race gets different initial modifiers to the beginning roll. For
example, giants get a bonus to strength, but minuses to intelligence and
wisdom to reflect their above average strength and stupidity. Races also
have limits above which their abilities may not rise
